Islam for Deaf would like to welcome you to our exclusive fundraising dinner. We are pleased to have the honour of hosting such a beneficial and unique event which aims to help spread Islam to the Deaf Community all over the world.
Our ambition is to highlight the difficulties and struggles faced by Deaf Muslims on a daily basis, and how we, as a community, can help!
The Deaf Community are in need of our help and support, as we are predominantly, their only source to Islamic resources and knowledge. Islam for Deaf endeavours to educate Deaf Muslims and be a source of dawah to non-Muslims on the reality, practicality and beauty of Islam.
Our new project ‘Islam for Deaf Kids’ is a unique initiative which aims to teach young children the basic principles of Islam in a fun and interactive way. Our aim is to start at the beginning, the foundations of Islam, and work our way through the basic principles of Islam, introduce the beloved prophets of Islam and also teach valuable stories from the Qur’an.
We have a line-up of world renowned scholars and speakers, such as:
• Yasser McAndrew (confirmed)
• Abdur-Raheem Green (confirmed)
• Rahim Jung (confirmed)
• Zaka Ullah Saleem (Green Lane Masjid, confirmed) and many more.
• We will also turn to the Deaf Community, in order to get sincere and personal accounts, from their perspective.
The evening will consist of a 3 course meal, talks, lectures, video documentaries, competitions, a fundraising auction and much more. All talks and lectures will be interpreted live with British Sign Language.
Most importantly, we hope the evening will be fun and beneficial!
Price: £15 (adult)/ £20 at the door, £10 (child, ages 6-12)/ £15 at the door, £130 (*group ticket)/ £135 at the door, children 5 years and under are free.
*a group consists of 10 people
**IMPORTANT NOTICE** if you are a family of 10, please email us after purchasing your ticket, so we can allocate you seats in the family seating area, as there are limited seats available!
(Car parking facilities will be available)
Nearest train station is Birmingham New Street (0.8 miles, 15 minute walk)
There will be separate seating area for brothers and sisters; there will also be a family seating area for families who wish to sit together (please select your tickets accordingly).
All funds raised will go towards Islam for Deaf, Islam for Deaf Kids, and other projects which will benefit the Deaf Community.
